My general area of interest is condensed matter theory of correlated many-body systems. My recent efforts have
focused on the study of highly frustrated magnetism - with an emphasis on large moment, rare-earth materials:
Ho2Ti2O7 and Dy2Ti2O7 (spin-ices), Tb2Ti2O7 (a cooperative paramagnet or spin liquid), Gd2Ti2O7, Gd3Ga5O12
(an antiferromagnetic garnet), and others. I am also developing projects to study frustration in correlated electron,
Hubbard, models, where the emphasis here is on two dimensional systems - triangular and kagome lattices. Other
areas of interest include correlated many-body models in general and numerical methods (Monte Carlo) to study
these systems.
The statement on research interests below discusses some of this work, but it is outdated and needs to be modified.
I hope to do this soon.
