Cost & Registration
The program fees are approximately $3900, which covers
a three-credit graduate course, room, 14 meals on campus, traveling in Beijing,
and all necessary fees for various library tours, cultural activities and scenic
tour. Cost of some daily meals varies by personal choices when in tour. The cost
is quite reasonable. One can manage his/her daily meals with $10 to $20 a day.

The program fee does not include books,
medical and personal expenses, laundry, snacks, ticketing, and any
additional expenses that alter itinerary or arrangements. Each
registrant will be required to purchase an International Student I.D.
card. Therefore, it is strongly recommended that each student have $500
available for on-site expenses.
GRANT/SCHOLARSHIP OPPORTUNITY
Patricia Cubeta Zibluk at Southern has
established The Paul J. and John P. Cubeta Memorial Scholarship Fund,
which will be used for summer study-abroad students. The Scholarship is
expected to disburse about $1000 each summer.
The Freeman-ASIA Program aims to increase the number of U.S. undergraduates
who study in East and Southeast Asia by providing them with the information and
financial assistance they will need. Award amounts range from $3,000 for a
summer program, a maximum of $5,000 for a semester/quarter program to a maximum
of $7,000 for an academic year program. The Freeman-ASIA Program is made
possible by the generous support of the Freeman Foundation and is administered
