This section is divided into two major categories: Research Sources and Research Areas.

Research Sources are meant to guide students through the massive and complex field of British Romantic studies, which is expanding its boundaries constantly. As students may feel overwhelmed by the great mass of research available, this section includes several aids or bibliographic guides, which are large general reviews of research by experts in the field; links to related Web sites; standard journals devoted to British Romantic studies; and anthologies of essays covering a multitude of relevant topics and research areas.

The Research Areas category includes a vast range of material geared to both graduate and undergraduate students. The reading lists under each subcategory are selective. Since our courses include a strong contextual or historical component, students are encouraged to familiarize themselves with one or more areas of research: see the brief introductions to each of the areas.
