Group Project #1 – Ethics

1. Define the activity in a morally neutral manner.

2. Closely analyze both the positive and negative consequences of it.

3. Formulate a strong utilitarian argument for and a strong one against this activity.

4. Finally, describe the main differences between the opposing sides in the debate about whether this activity is moral: Do they differ in their view of whether certain consequences are positive or negative, the degree in which these consequences are positive or negative, and in their definitions of the central concepts that frame the debate?
