Ontological Argument
1. The idea of God is the idea of the most perfect being possible.
2. If God did not exist, then we could imagine a more perfect being: One that has all of the characteristics of God plus existence.
3. If we could imagine a more perfect being than God, then the idea of God would not be the idea of the most perfect being possible.
4. Therefore, if God did not exist, then the idea of God would not be the idea the most perfect being possible. (Hypothetical Syllogism, 2, 3)
5. Therefore, God exists (Modus Tollens, 1, 4)
