Logic Writing Assignment #4

Revise Writing Assignment #3, following my written comments. Reread the instructions for Writing Assignment #3 if necessary.

Each paper must have:

(A) At least 2 independent lines of argument for the same controversial conclusion.

(B) At least 4 simple arguments.

Please note that at the end of each conclusion you need to include the line numbers of the premises in parentheses, as well as the type of argument if you know this. Don’t merely guess: Many of the first drafts stated the wrong argument types.

Also note that if you used a premise indicator such as ‘since’ or ‘because’ in one of the line of your argument, it probably means that there are two statements in that line, and that one of them is a premise supporting the other one. The premise needs to be moved to an earlier line in the argument, and the original line needs to be written as a conclusion.

Turn in the revision stapled on top of the original draft.

Format: 12 point type, number and staple pages if more than one page.
