Spinoza and Leibniz Paper

(1) Summarize Cartesian substance dualism in metaphysics and manner in which it is criticized (minimum ¾ page). (2) Then summarize the alternatives offered by Spinoza (monism) and Leibniz (pluralism): How do they attempt to get around the problems they see in Cartesian dualism? (Minimum 1 full page each. Be careful include only what is most relevant and that your summaries are coherently organized.) (3) Finally, evaluate each of these metaphysical positions, identifying the one that you think is most plausible and stating the reasons why you think it is more plausible than the other theories (minimum 1 full page).

Use endnotes or a work cited page instead of footnotes, and if you use parentheses in the text, include only (1) the page numbers, (2) author’s last name, and (3) year of publication if you are citing more than one work by the same author in the course of your paper.
