Marx Paper
Answer the following questions, writing a minimum of 3 full pages, maximum 5 pages:
How does Marx appropriate and modify Hegel’s notion of the self-alienation of labor? What are the similarities and differences in their uses of this notion? Make sure to discuss the influence of Marx’s conception of human nature and his turn to materialism on his notion of labor.
If you would like, you can extend your paper by critically evaluating their versions of alienated labor, but make sure that the preceding part of the paper is sufficiently developed and is at least 3 full pages long.
Sources and Citations – Cite at least one passage from Schelling and two passages from Hegel. Provide full citations for any quotations or paraphrases (not including class lectures), using any standard method that provides all of the relevant information (including exact page numbers or a URL with an exact date). Keep in mind that many internet sources are unreliable.
