Final Paper Topic

What is the South, and what is unique about it? In this paper, I want you to draw on both personal experiences and our readings to define the South. Your discussion of this issue should be sensitive to the complexity and fluidity of the South as well as its possibilities, and touch on both its past and future. Use at least two of our readings on the South and at least one of the novels or two of the articles we didn’t discuss in class.
