Click on CONSULS (Library Catalog) to create your Library PIN to log into the databases from off campus, and to check your library account (books checked out, requests from other CSU libraries, and renewals.) \n2. Click on Login to your Library Record. \n3. Enter your SCSU ID number (8 digits, starts with a '7', NOT your SSN.) \n4. Leave the second box blank and click on the Display Record button. \n5. Enter your PIN twice. You can use any combination of letters, numbers, or punctuation (no spaces). Then click on the Display Record button. \nYour contact information, items checked out, and fines are displayed. \n6. If you get an "Invalid PIN" message, you already have a PIN. Call the Circulation Desk, (203) 392-5756 to delete your PIN. Then start over to create a new one. \n7. If you get a "Sorry, cannot locate patron record" message, your record hasn't been loaded from the SCSU Registrar, or you have entered the wrong ID number. 1. Click on CONSULS (Library Catalog) from the Library Home Page. If you have more than one article to read/print, Log in to your Library Record (upper left) first, then click Search the Catalog.\n2. In the lower right section, click on either Search by Instructor or Search by Course Name.\n3. To search by Instructor, enter the instructor's last name and click search. \n4. To search by course, enter the course number (usually the three character abbreviation of the department and the course number, i.e. ENG 112.)\n5. Look for the appropriate course and/or instructor, followed by Ele (for electronic reserves), i.e. ENG 112 Ele.\n6. Click on the title of the reading you are interested in.\n7. If you have not already logged into your library record, you will be asked for your ID number and PIN. Click on the Submit button (you may have to scroll down to see the button).\n8. Online Reserve articles are in PDF format. You will need Adobe Acrobat Reader 5 or higher to view and/or print the articles. Mac users: Preview may not display the PDF files correctly. Print articles using the PDF print button, not the web browser Print button or File Menu Print command.\n
