The Adult Neurogenic Program is dedicated to rehabilitation of adults with neurologic communication disorders including aphasia, dysarthria, apraxia, and cognitive-linguistic deficits. It is part of the Center for Communication Disorders in the Department of Communication Disorders at Southern Connecticut State University.
Our mission is to enhance the communication skills of persons with aphasia and other communication disorders; to provide education, training, and support to clients and their caregivers; and to provide educational opportunities for students in the Department of Communication Disorders and other allied health fields.
All services are provided by graduate students in the Departments of Communication Disorders, Marriage and Family Therapy, Nursing, Recreation and Leisure, and Social Work in the School of Health and Human Services at SCSU, and are supervised by licensed professionals in the respective disciplines.
