My role is to coordinate and strengthen reference
services. My responsibilities include developing and maintaining a
quality print reference collection that is comprehensive and current;
scheduling the reference department service desk to ensure adequate staffing
most hours the library is open; providing reference assistance to the university
community and to the general public; presenting instruction sessions primarily
in my area of expertise (English), as well as in other areas if needed;
participating in the selection of electronic reference resources; and serving
as the library liaison to the English Department. I am an active participant in
campus governance and serve on department and campus committees.
